Central Florida Honduras Commission

The Diocese of Central Florida and the Diocese of Honduras have enjoyed a Companion Diocese relationship since 1974. A simple description of a companion diocese is that an established diocese in our Anglican Communion is partnered with a new or establishing diocese. Most often it is a cross cultural relationship and it exists for the purpose of strengthening each other for mission and ministry. Each diocese seeks to understand its partner’s missionary priorities and ways of serving, sharing and showing Jesus in its own culture.

The Honduras Commission exists to promote mutual ministry in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to lend support and encouragement to the Diocese of Honduras.

Diocesan clergy and laity with a heart for the people of Honduras comprise the diverse membership of the commission. Meetings are held monthly at noon on the third Thursday in the Honduras Room at the offices of the Diocese of Central Florida in Orlando. Visitors are always welcomed (just remember to bring your lunch!).

If you would like more information about the Central Florida Honduras Commission, please contact us.

A member of the Central Florida Honduras Commission will come to your church or event to present information on Parish to Parish Ministry in Honduras and/or Asset Based Community Development. For more information, please contact us.
